We started in Bristol in 2011 as a small, independent part of BS3 Campus project. We collected donated and abandoned bicycles; repaired and sold them for a fraction of price to fund our growing library of parts and tools. We also provided discounted repairs and maintenance tuition to members of community, people from all around town and beyond. When our parent project moved on we have too- we moved to Leeds and are in the process of taking over the streets of Leeds.

We are a voluntarily run project growing in Leeds that repairs abandoned and donated bicycles to sell them to members of public for discounted price. Any funds collected from sales and donations are invested into The Bikes College project and other Leeds based cycling initiatives.

We show our visitors how to carry out the basic repairs of their bicycles which contributes towards the educational impact of our project. We believe that everyone should be able to look after their bike when simple things go wrong. In return for a small donation or annual membership we provide the workshop space, the library of tools and parts (new and second hand) as well as coordinators' knowledge and helping hand.

We are working closely with and supporting Leeds based community and social projects; including ex-offenders, homeless, minorities and many other. We work with Leeds City Council and number of other project supporting and promoting cycling as alternative form of transport.
